Meditations presents Petr Pufler’s series of light objects that do not demand attention but offer presence. His works do not shine at full intensity – instead, they breathe, gently pulsing in space like a physical form of inner calm. The artist combines pigmented resin, concrete, glass fragments, and warm light in constructions that evoke a sense of focus and slowing down.
Inspired by the aesthetics of emptiness and silence, he creates spaces in which the viewer can both lose and find themselves. These works are not narrative – instead of meaning, they offer experience; instead of explanation, they offer pause. Meditations is an exhibition that does not lead to a goal but brings one back to oneself – to a place where breath, light, and silence are in balance. In a time of overload and acceleration, it offers the possibility to stop for a moment – to simply witness the subtle movement of light within the material.
Petr Pufler (*1983, Prague), known under the name Světlonoš (“Lightbearer”), is a Czech artist and developer whose work merges light, material, and digital structures. He studied Interactive Media at J. E. Purkyně University and has previously worked as a lighting designer in the field of electronic music, including projects such as Polygon and Dietl Archive. Since 2019, he has been involved in developing 3D concrete printing in the studio of Federico Díaz.
In his own artistic practice, he explores the relationship between presence, silence, and luminous matter. Using resin, concrete, glass, LED technology, and 3D printing, he creates objects that can be seen as contemporary altars of perception – situated between matter and radiance, between the outer and inner worlds. His work has been exhibited both in the Czech Republic and internationally, including at Trafo Gallery, Chemistry Gallery, Signal Festival, and Burning Man.
