SSUD BRNO & HELL.IX: Section CLOSE (Light, Touch & Sustainability)
The first half of the evening, titled CLOSE, belongs to the rising generation of talented designers from the Brno School of Art and Design (SSUD) and HELL.IX brand. Their collections present a deeply rooted, bright, and tangible vision of sustainable fashion. Rather than mass production, they focus on craftsmanship, natural materials, recycling, and original experimentation.
The student runway showcases several fascinating dimensions:
Laser Cutting & Innovative Structures: Eco-textile design student projects explore shape dynamics, hemp deadstock from Bohempia, and deeper social themes through laser technology.
Denim Upcycling: Transforming old denim into high-value garments, unisex streetwear, and pieces featuring intricate hand embroidery proves that discarded materials can be reborn.
Knitwear, Jackets & Zero-Waste: Original jacquard knits, crocheted structures made from upcycled t-shirts, garments dyed with coffee and cocoa waste, or hand-woven zero-waste jackets demonstrate a wide mastery of craft.
3D Printing: Work by Nela Šulová, under the brand HELL.IX, bridges modern technological elements with traditional apparel.
This part of the evening celebrates home, natural principles, human touch, and the sustainable creativity of young Czech talents.
