artificial
How do I look? Objectivity is a concept that is increasingly losing its meaning. Self-perception is also just a construct of thoughts. Confronting how others see us is not always pleasant or desirable. Who we are has many forms, perspectives. Searching for the "true face" is pointless, realizing that none of them are completely real. "I model a woman. We have two views, she on herself and I on her. Our eyes will never meet, because each of us sees a different woman.” A realistic bust is also only one of the faces of the depicted, but also of the modeler himself. How does the model look at the result of how someone else sees it? The form of modeling becomes irrelevant, it is a secondary product of what is created – look at a person.

absence
Survival is the term used to denote that aspect of activity that is not directly accessible to other people. It is subjective for everyone, takes place over time and is constantly flowing. We judge what a person is experiencing based on his gestures, facial expressions and speech. The authors ask themselves where are the boundaries of personal psychological processes, between our private and public space, between real and fictional, mental and physical, and how these worlds influence each other, how we mirror them. When creating the work, they are based on theatrical principles, but they model the situation in a reverse way. An intimate story emerges, a fictitious connected identity on the edge of reality.

The Ministry Of Delirium
In uncertain times, the Ministry operates from underground reservoirs on the Yellow Hill. Detach yourself from previous associations and desires. Cases where we are controlled by artificial intelligence no longer belong in the science fiction section. It is actually something that already seems to be in process and has been designed as a by-product of our new presence. The audiovisual installation explores algorithmic control using mixed media including neural networks, audio, video and animation.

Conquest of Spaces
The shape of the lighting objects refers to the minimalism of the late 1960s, the creation of which was connected with the use of advanced technologies and enabled the newly expanding field of lighting design to become a unique artistic tool. However, the pantyhose redefines it and places it in the context of a digital and virtual world, the extent of which would be difficult for artists of the time to imagine. He spins the question of time in circles – a motif to which he returns again and again. He is fascinated by the shape of the circle with its universal meaning, especially in architecture, where it has been considered the most perfect geometric symbol since antiquity. In the context of the exhibition at Prototype, the circle is understood as a representative of time – past, present and future, and as an imaginary shift from two-dimensional space to three-dimensional space.

BIOSPHERE & INITI
An exclusive performance by Norwegian ambient music legend Biosphere became the highlight of last year's festival Spectacular.
Projekt měl úžasné recenze a 3 zcela vyprodaná představení během jediného dne.
Tentokrát se show odehraje v digitáriu na Observatory and planetarium in Brno.

Himalayan Dalai Lama
It's been some Friday since these two boys from Brno played their dream set at Prototyp on the Market Square. Years later, he returns, a little older, much more experienced and with great music that will take us back to the stars. This time, the sleepy cellist Terezie Kovalová, who has been accompanying them for the past few years, will sit by their side.

Fashion Performance
The students of Ecotextile Design show how it is possible to creatively and unconventionally process material into artistic compositions on the theme of water. Head of the department Andrea Lojkásková motivated the students with the possibilities of circularity in the creation of the proposal and the work itself. They show how it is possible to use "seemingly" waste materials, textile and non-textile, on the body as a puzzle, which can then be disassembled, sorted and left free for further recycling.

PROTOTYPE AI ART
As part of the PROTOTYP festival, an exhibition was created that focuses on the phenomenon of creating art using artificial intelligence. From October 14 to November 6, 2022, the newly established research center CAAR will be presented for the first time in the Creative Hub KUMST in Brno and at the same time in the PRÉCÉDÉE gallery in Hong Kong. At the same time, there will be an exhibition of paintings created with the help of artificial intelligence by Czech creators.
Pop-up exhibition Brno – Hong Kong
CAAR – Center for Artificial Art Research
Four AI-assisted works by Lai Man Tin can be seen at the exhibition. Two of them AI Brno and AI Hong Kong with subtitles Collecting memories, was created directly for the exhibition and present visualizations of recurring motifs in online images of Brno and Hong Kong from the point of view of artificial intelligence. Two more videos from the same author, AI ways of seeing and AI Impressionism, present experiments with the interweaving of the processes of seeing and interpreting art through human and artificial neural networks.
At the exhibition, it will be possible to watch the AI film by Karina Kazarina A Rabbi's Dream based on the motifs of the Legend of the Prague Golem. During its creation, the author used artificial intelligence in all stages of the creative process, from the script to the generation of images. In this way, she purposefully combined the formal features of the work with the theme of the creation of an artificial human, which is traditionally part of the broader conceptual framework of the development of intelligent tools.

Exhibition AI ART
The exhibition presents visual creations of the Czech community, which focuses on generating images using artificial intelligence. Most of the works were created using the Midjourney tool. Midjourney is an independent research lab producing an artificial intelligence program that creates images from text descriptions, similar to OpenAI, DALL-E or Stable Diffusion. It explores thought and expands the imaginative capacities of the human species through new media. The exhibition also makes us think whether the works are still the product of human creativity or whether they are the product of a machine. Judge for yourself if we still need artists or if machines will soon be able to do it themselves.
Authors of exhibited works: Petr Ludwig, Milan Grym, Tomáš Jahoda, Peter Podolinský, Jiří Mucha, Jarmila Mlčoušková, Jiří Slováček, Michal Arnošt, Anna Unčovská, Ivan Eder, Štěpán Havel, Petr Provazník, Šárka Růžičková, Robča and others.
Design výstavy: VISUALOVE – Jan Machát, Michal Okleštěk
Organizer: Prototyp, VISUALOVE, TIM MUNI, MUNI Faculty of Arts
Výstava trvání 14.10. – 6.11.
Place: KUMST Brno
