Arcana Tectonica

Martin Střálka

In Arcana Tectonica, an inflatable model of the lithosphere comes to life through projection mapping, revealing the hidden rhythm of the planet – the movement of tectonic plates, magma outflows, and the cycles of ocean basins. Gradually, the silhouettes of dried-up rivers emerge, reminding us that water is an indispensable resource and that without it, the planet’s life pulse would cease.
Arcana Tectonica invites the viewer to look into the geological past and the current environmental pressures, awakening the question of what the future of our planet will be. Part of the visualization uses publicly available data sources from NASA / SVS. The quiet dialogue between light and form opens a space for reflection on the connection between art, science, and a responsible approach to our Earth.
